Saturday Hall Cosplay
Have you made a stunning costume that you would like to have judged? Come participate in the Setsucon Hall Cosplay Contest! Judging will be held earlier on Saturday, before the Masquerade event begins. Awards for the Hall Cosplay Contest will be awarded at the end of the Masquerade event. It is highly suggested that you pre-register for the Hall Cosplay Contest online before the convention, so that we can properly accommodate everyone. Hall Cosplay Contest forms will be available online and at the convention. If entering at the convention, they must be filled out by the cosplayer before the judging begins and submitted at the registration desk. Reference material can be submitted with the form or brought in person to the judging. Please familiarize yourself with the rules below before competing.
Hall Cosplay Contest Rules
- Cosplayers must make at least 70% of the costume. If items were bought they must be heavily modified by the cosplayer in some way.
- All costumes must pertain in some way to the Japanese culture. This includes but is not limited to: Anime, Manga, J-Rock/J-pop, Japanese Cinema, Video Games, etc…
- Reference material is required, in the form of a 8.5 by 11 photograph/ and or drawing. If reference material is not provided the judges will be unable to judge the costume for accuracy. Judges do not know all characters and want to be able to judge everyone fairly.

- Novice- up to 9 costumes or no awards
- Journeyman-10 to 19 costumes or 1-3 awards

- Props must be within Setsucon's height and weight limits of 7 ft (any direction) and under 50 lbs.
